Qualifications

• Genuinely passionate about teaching and about supporting the next generation

• Extensive composition experience (high school/university/conservatory education, summer festivals/programs, enrichment opportunities, collaborations with performers, etc.)

• Willingness to volunteer your time

• 18 years of age or older

Basic Responsibilities

• Provide at least 4 30-minute virtual lessons to two participants (at least 8 lessons total) throughout the 2026 Cycle (mid-February through the end of April)

  • These lessons are scheduled individually between each Composer-Mentor and their students

• Attend the yearly Composer-Mentor Orientation Meeting on Zoom

• Attend the monthly All-Program Meetings on Zoom
